Pretty Peacock

Here are pics of Harper from Halloween. She didn't want to be very cooperative for the camera but she had a great time. We went to one house and then headed over to Lisa and Ryans!

Strolling with Baby B!

This morning was Harper's 18 month appt so it allowed me a little more time before work. Lisa and I took the kids on a stroll and while Harper didn't get up close to Brennan (still keeping him away from little ones until he gets a little older) she watched him like a hawk and repeated "baby! baby! baby!" over and over again while pointing. So cute!!

Labor Day Weekend!

Labor Day weekend, Clark and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner and it's hard to believe that it's already been 6 years. This picture was from our Save the Date cards taken about 7 years ago...

On Sunday, a bunch of us headed to the Four Seasons in Dallas for a chance to celebrate one of Claire's last nights as a single lady. We sat poolside all day and had a great dinner and a fun time sitting outside into the wee hours. Here are some fun pics from the day.

We also spent some time at the park on Monday with Harper. The weather was gorgeous for the first time in months and it was great to get out of the house with Harper!

Showering Baby Brennan!

Saturday we all got together to shower Lisa and Baby Brennan! We had a great group of hostesses and we all worked hard to pull the party together. I wish I would have had the time to take more pictures; thank you Lindsay for helping out! Below are some of the highlights.
I saw this rattle on P is for Party! It looked fairly straight forward and Claire and I were up for the challenge. We wrapped PVC pipe in seersucker fabric and pearl pinned daisy after daisy to Styrofoam balls. We finished it with yellow grosgrain ribbon! Love the way it turned out!

These flags were made by purchasing party flags from target and cutting the old flags out of the white ribbon. We took seersucker flags that we cut from fabric and spray glued two together. Lindsay used her sewing machine to put the new flags in the white ribbon!

Heavenly Day!

I love the title of this post because 1) I love the Patti Griffin song and 2) because it's very appropriate after the weekend that we had. We had a wonderful time in lovely Lake Tahoe to celebrate Preston and Emily's wedding. It was so nice to be in temperatures that were not in line with my broiler. If I could have hugged the air, I would have...maybe I tried...

The rehearsal dinner was on the Queen Tahoe (Tahoe Queen?), a riverboat that gave us a beautiful tour of the lake. The ceremony/reception was held at the peak of Heavenly Mountain, ski resort by Winter, wedding venue come Summer. We took a tram up to the top and watched the couple exchange vows with a stunning view of the lake. {See Below}

Bunko Takes a Field Trip!

Tuesday night our bunko group got together for a fun cooking class at Central Market. It was A Taste of the Southwest and everything we made was awesome (just not awesome for you).
We made shrimp tostadas, carnita stuffed sopapillas (savory not sweet), and some cookies. It was a great way to spend the evening with friends. I highly recommend it! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Hook 'em Frogs! Sic 'em Longhorns.

We are a confused household when it comes to cheering for college sports teams. Last night we went to Joe T's for a Meet the Coaches event celebrating UT Football. It. Was. HOT. but we put on a brave face and enjoyed ourselves. We met Major Applewhite and got our picture with him. I can't believe I am saying this. I am looking forward to football season. I know, I don't even know myself right now.

These pics were posted on Facebook but neither of our moms have access to that so here they are again. Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
