No Love for Santa or Bevo

Poor Harper. Last weekend Larkin and I took the kids to meet Santa and Bevo at the UT Co-op. Harper HATED it. Kinda felt like the worst mom ever but all I could do was laugh.

Note: Larkin and I were not planning to be in the picture but H insisted. Look how sweet Sarah Mitchell is being!!

Bless her heart...

Leaf it to Harper!

After the freezes we had last week, all of the leaves from our giant Mulberry tree fell and covered our yard. Clark spent Saturday morning raking them up into piles and when he was finished, Harper enjoyed jumping from pile to pile, going crazy in all of the leaves! I think she's pretty darn cute.

More Lights!

I know this video is probably really grainy but Harper got so excited when we turned the lights on the tree this week. She literally danced around saying Lights! Lights!! For a good 30 minutes. It was so wonderful.

Every night, we have been driving her around our neighborhood to see the lights. People have gone all out this year and Harper really appreciates it! She loves Christmas!

Harper's First Haircut

Today we finally went to get Harper's haircut. I have been trying to get this done for a while but things kept continually coming up and prevented me from getting it done. I really thought that she was going to be a terror in the chair. I had prepared myself to bribe her with M&Ms and books, but she was a perfect angel and held still the entire time. She even told the lady thank you when she was done.

Laissez le bon temps rouler!

Last weekend, Clark and I headed to New Orleans for Sarah and Brandon's wedding. We had the best weekend, eating and exploring all that the city had to offer. They weather was gorgeous and the food was plentiful.

Clark and I continued his birthday celebration at John Besh's Restaurant August. It was such an amazing dinner which, if you have talked to Clark in the last few days, I am sure you have heard all about.
Lindsay and I at Pat O'Briens...when in Rome right?! Still not sure what is in the "hurricane mix" other than sugar.
The bride singing some karaoke!
The best po boys ever at Domilisies!
Leigh, Lindsay, Clark and I took a wonderful tour of the Garden District complete with Trolly ride. So thankful we couldn't find a cab!
Wedding night!

Clark, Kyle and Ed. I'm sure it was a good song.
Of course he found the tambourine.
Congratulations Sarah and Brandon. It was a beautiful wedding!!

Clark and I flew back on Saturday morning to celebrate Caitlin's wedding. Our friend Scott came in town and we had a wonderful time catching up. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous. I wish I would have taken more pictures but I was pretty beat having been in NOLA the night before. All of the details were just perfect. Their first dance was to "Sweet Child of Mine," which is just about the coolest song ever. The 80's hair band they had playing rocked it out!
The only picture of the night.

Happy Birthday Clark!

Tuesday was Clark's birthday! We had a really fun happy hour planned at Michaels and had a bunch of our friends there to celebrate. I didn't do a good job of taking pictures but here are a few that were taken once it occured to me that I had my camera!

Pretty Peacock

Here are pics of Harper from Halloween. She didn't want to be very cooperative for the camera but she had a great time. We went to one house and then headed over to Lisa and Ryans!
Her first house to trick or treat!

Strolling with Baby B!

This morning was Harper's 18 month appt so it allowed me a little more time before work. Lisa and I took the kids on a stroll and while Harper didn't get up close to Brennan (still keeping him away from little ones until he gets a little older) she watched him like a hawk and repeated "baby! baby! baby!" over and over again while pointing. So cute!!

Labor Day Weekend!

Labor Day weekend, Clark and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner and it's hard to believe that it's already been 6 years. This picture was from our Save the Date cards taken about 7 years ago...

On Sunday, a bunch of us headed to the Four Seasons in Dallas for a chance to celebrate one of Claire's last nights as a single lady. We sat poolside all day and had a great dinner and a fun time sitting outside into the wee hours. Here are some fun pics from the day.

We also spent some time at the park on Monday with Harper. The weather was gorgeous for the first time in months and it was great to get out of the house with Harper!

Showering Baby Brennan!

Saturday we all got together to shower Lisa and Baby Brennan! We had a great group of hostesses and we all worked hard to pull the party together. I wish I would have had the time to take more pictures; thank you Lindsay for helping out! Below are some of the highlights.
I saw this rattle on P is for Party! It looked fairly straight forward and Claire and I were up for the challenge. We wrapped PVC pipe in seersucker fabric and pearl pinned daisy after daisy to Styrofoam balls. We finished it with yellow grosgrain ribbon! Love the way it turned out!
the hostesses with the beautiful mom-to-be
These flags were made by purchasing party flags from target and cutting the old flags out of the white ribbon. We took seersucker flags that we cut from fabric and spray glued two together. Lindsay used her sewing machine to put the new flags in the white ribbon!
Kristin made these cute favors!
