Showering Baby Brennan!

Saturday we all got together to shower Lisa and Baby Brennan! We had a great group of hostesses and we all worked hard to pull the party together. I wish I would have had the time to take more pictures; thank you Lindsay for helping out! Below are some of the highlights.
I saw this rattle on P is for Party! It looked fairly straight forward and Claire and I were up for the challenge. We wrapped PVC pipe in seersucker fabric and pearl pinned daisy after daisy to Styrofoam balls. We finished it with yellow grosgrain ribbon! Love the way it turned out!

These flags were made by purchasing party flags from target and cutting the old flags out of the white ribbon. We took seersucker flags that we cut from fabric and spray glued two together. Lindsay used her sewing machine to put the new flags in the white ribbon!

Heavenly Day!

I love the title of this post because 1) I love the Patti Griffin song and 2) because it's very appropriate after the weekend that we had. We had a wonderful time in lovely Lake Tahoe to celebrate Preston and Emily's wedding. It was so nice to be in temperatures that were not in line with my broiler. If I could have hugged the air, I would have...maybe I tried...

The rehearsal dinner was on the Queen Tahoe (Tahoe Queen?), a riverboat that gave us a beautiful tour of the lake. The ceremony/reception was held at the peak of Heavenly Mountain, ski resort by Winter, wedding venue come Summer. We took a tram up to the top and watched the couple exchange vows with a stunning view of the lake. {See Below}
