Shower for Baby Rucker!

We had our shower this weekend and it was wonderful. I have the greatest friends and it was really a special day for me. Everything was perfect and all of the details were amazing. Baby Rucker received lots of fun gifts and things to make us ready for her arrival. We are so excited to meet her and greet the newest member of our family! Here are some pics from the shower.

Electricity is for grown ups.

The last 24 hours have been interesting. I took our dogs out shortly after I posted yesterday and noticed that there was a fire from one of the power lines in our big oak tree. I called 911 (first time ever) and they put me through to the fire department. I was verifying my address when I heard a loud pop and got disconnected. FD was there within 5 minutes and the fire was out but branches were down and the electricity has been out on our street ever since.

Last night we packed up the puppies and stayed at Beth's house. We went back over to our house this morning and the power is still out with no end in sight. We also noticed that the tree that was on fire has lost all of its branches over night. Our neighborhood is unrecognizable when you drive around. There are trees down everywhere! It is going to be a very messy clean up. Very frustrating but Beth has made us very comfortable here! Here are some pictures.

In other news, you may have noticed several changes to our blog! Wynne has spent a lot of time learning about how to format blogs and customize them to fit your style. She graciously edited ours and I love it!! Thank you Wynne for your hard work!! She's very talented!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...wait, Valentine's Day?

I'm not usually a fan of snow and wintery weather but it is gorgeous outside!! The Rucker household woke up this morning to a beautiful blanket of white. Here are some pictures of the house and the puppies. Bailey and Piper were hesitant at first but quickly came around. Piper liked eating it :)
