A week of firsts!

First off, I want to say Happy Memorial Day! I hope everyone had a safe and fun weekend with their friends and family. I love this weekend as it officially kicks off summer. On Saturday we went to the Colonial golf tournament. It was fun but miserably hot. We had a babysitter for the first time and while it was a little scary leaving Harper with a stranger, she did great and everything went well.
Sunday, we had some quality time together while Clark went to the lake with our friends. Today, H and I went to the pool with Lisa while Clark golfed with the guys. This was Harper's first trip of many, to the pool, as we are a water family. She did great in her new swimsuit and hat (thanks Lisa) and seemed to not hate the water :) I wouldn't say she liked it; I suppose she was just indifferent. It was a wonderful weekend and I am exhausted. Looking forward to some Mexican food and cold margarita for dinner!
Harper also can officially sit in her bumbo (thanks Sarah!-I told you we would get lots of photos in it :) We took a bunch of pictures of her in it and no, I did not intentionally coordinate her onesie to match her lilac bumbo.

10 Weeks!

Harper is 10 weeks old today! Everything has been going so well. She is sleeping well and there are rarely times that she gets fussy where I don't know what to do to calm her down. We still have a daily battle with her reflux but the previcid has significantly helped with the pain and the fussy eating. She is getting stronger by the day. She holds her head up and can "stand" on her legs, pushing away. She follows us around the room with her eyes and is always full of smiles. She LOVES the ceiling fan. When you turn it on, she giggles so much. I love that her little personality is starting to shine.
Last week, my mom came up for a couple of days to help me out and spend time with us. She also watched Harper for us when we went to Joe T's for a work thing for Clark. It was really nice to get a night out, even if it was work related. Clark's parents are in town this week because his dad has a conference at TCU. Clark's mom has been so nice to come over and watch Harper while I run some errands. Last night, the 4 1/2 of us tried a new restaurant called Cat City Grill. It was fabulous. Tonight, we are going to Michael's to celebrate Beth's birthday while Clark's parents watch Harper.
Here are some pics of the last week. Happy Tuesday!
For some reason, this picture keeps rotating. It's not like this when I selected.
I love the ceiling fan! It is so funny!

The last week...

This weekend was so much fun. On Saturday, Harper had her Sip and See. Wynne, Alli, Sarah and Scarlett hosted it at my house and it was so nice! It was great to see those girls and they did a really nice job on the decorations and the food; cake balls anyone? I took a few pictures that I have posted below. The first few are from Sarah's camera.

Me with the wonderful hostesses; Wynne, Sarah, Alli and Scarlett.
These pics are from a couple of weeks ago. We ordered pizza and sat outside for a while. It was really nice out so it was great to stay in and just hang out with some friends. It was also a great night because Harper slept for 7 hours that night! It was a dream.
Sunday night, Lisa and Ryan had us over for dinner. The food was great and it was nice to hang out after a busy weekend.

8 Week Photo Shoot

What can I say, she's a big fat ham for the camera. My new nikon is absolutly addicted to this little girl and I can't help myself but to snap away. I'm no professional, but I think some of these turned out pretty good! I can't believe that it has already been 8 weeks. Time has gone by so fast and we are having so much fun. It's not always easy (actually, it rarely is) but getting sweet smiles like the ones below melt my heart and make it all worth it.
Hope everyone has a great week!!

Photos Galore!

Too much has happened over the last week! I am sorry I haven't been writing as much as last week but Little Miss has decided that she likes to be held all the time. Typing with one hand isn't conducive for blogging! We will do better!

Last weekend, Clark and I went to Breckenridge, Texas to Polo on the Prairie. Our good friend Beth invited us and the Moores to spend the night at her lake house and attend the event with her family. We had the best time and it was nice to have a little mini retreat for the night. While there, we ran into our friends Wynne and Stephen. See her blog for more pictures (professional pictures) and details on the event. It was so fun to see her!
My wonderful in-laws came to town on Friday night and stayed with Harper on Saturday while we were gone!

Please note the expression on the face of the lady on the left. We are clearly very offensive!
