First School Pictures

Last week, Harper had school pictures at school. You would think for infants they would have a more appropriate background. Rather, they used antique books and fake plants...interesting choice. The quality is so poor because I didn't want to spend the $150 for the digital images. I took a picture with my iPhone of the picture.

I can:

Roll EVERYWHERE

Sit up for a few seconds

Say "dadadadadadada"

Grab everything and shove it in my mouth

Sleep from 8pm-6am

Eat fruits and veggies

Love hard :)

6 months does not even seem real. It is insane to me that 6 months have gone by. I cannot put into words how much our life has changed for the better since she joined our family. Clark and I are so thankful for our families and friends for being so supportive of us throughout the last year.

Happy Early Anniversary!

So this Labor Day weekend, Clark and I will celebrate 5 years of marriage! My how time flies.

We have other plans that weekend so Clark surprised me with a mini trip to Horseshoe Bay, where we got married. We stayed at the resort and my mom came up to watch Harper while we went to the pool for the afternoon. When we checked into our room, Clark had one of our welcome baskets from our wedding on the bed waiting. So sweet!

The pool was amazing. It was so nice to get out in the heat! I have been in the AC all summer and just dying to get outside! Even though I now look like a lobster, and have susequently had to take an oatmeal bath and apply and reapply aloe, it was so much fun!

That night, we went down to the restaurant for dinner. They didn't provide us with menus but I really didn't think anything of it. When the server came he mentioned that the menu had been taken care of. Clark had arranged for them to prepare the menu from our wedding! It was so thoughtful and unexpected. Then later on, they brought out a cake from the bakery that made our wedding cake and it was red velvet, just like my cake was. It was so special!

Before we went to HSB, we went by Camp Champions, the camp that Clark and I met at, to introduce Harper to some of our friends there. Here are some pictures that we took of the weekend!

20 Week Photo Shoot!

Harper turned 20 weeks on Tuesday. Here are pictures from our little photo session. She didn't want to cooperate for the camera quite like she has in the past, but I managed to get a couple that turned out. Enjoy!

On Tuesday, Clark and I took food to our friends Shea and Kyle who just had a sweet baby boy named Holt. He is adorable and they are so well adjusted! Their house was definitely cleaner than mine. Maybe just a tinge of jealousy there.

Here we go again!

So much to discuss! Harper is growing like a weed. She is now 4 1/2 months old! We went to the pediatrician on the 16th for her 4 month shots and check up. Harper is rolling both ways, "talking" up a storm and is eating cereal and bananas. I have video of her eating but for some reason, it won't let me upload. I will try again later. She is doing so well and I'm amazed at the new things that every day brings. Here are her stats:

• Weight: 12 pounds 13 ounces 40%
• Height: 24 1/2 inches 60%

Last weekend, Clark was in Port Aransas for Ed's Bachelor party so my mom came up to spend the weekend with us. We had a great time and met my cousins for dinner at Lambert's on Saturday night. It was so good to catch up with family and it was a relaxing weekend. Harper is on such a great schedule now that it wasn't at all a problem that Clark was gone for 4 days. It's nice to know that I can handle it now and I know how to take care of her.

She no longer needs to be rocked to sleep (which makes me kind of sad). I can typically just lay her in the crib, give her 2 minutes to fuss, replace her paci, and she is out for two hours, usually, on the dot. The last few nights, she has slept for 9 hours!!!!!! We may have to replace the paci once or twice but she never really wakes up and will go right back to sleep. She is still on Similac Alimentum (the expensive purple can that smells like cat food) and prevacid for her reflux, but even that is getting better.

2 weeks ago, our good friends Scott and Sarah came to visit! They are both medical residents so it's hard to coordinate schedules to get together. It was a great weekend complete with good food and conversation!

Once I charge my camera battery I will have more pictures and once I figure out how to upload videos from my video camera, I will add those as well. Hope everyone has a great week! Good luck to everyone taking the Bar!

16 Week Photo Shoot!

Time is a flyin'! Yesterday we had our 16 week photo shoot for Miss Harper. She loves the camera and the camera loves her. Clark and I continue to be perplexed by her hair color. It definitely looks reddish in these pics but it appears to be coming in blonde now at the roots. Who knows...
