Last Saturday morning we celebrated Harper's first birthday with a fabulous birthday brunch! We had our families in town and close friends over at our house to help Harper turn 1! Wouldn't you know it, come the Thursday night before, I began to come down with something. On Friday, I was out for the count, running a fever and feeling terrible. I had visions of watching Harper's birthday from our bedroom window. It was very sad... Friday evening, Clark's mom and my mom both teamed up and fully executed my party vision. I went to bed and cannot take credit for anything that happened. I was totally blown away by the end result and so thankful that they allowed me the time to rest up so that I could be somewhat present on Saturday morning. Harper loved her party; she cried during the cake, but I think she just didn't like all of the attention towards her...not sure where she gets that.
On the menu for the party we had: a bloody mary bar, mimosas, mini ham and parmesan frittatas, sausage cheese bites, almond rolls, croissants, donut holes, fruit salad and breakfast tacos!
